Juicy Oven-Baked Chicken


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1⁄2 teaspoons salt
  • 1⁄8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1⁄4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1⁄4 cup water

Directions

  1. Pour some evaporated milk into a shallow dish for dipping the chicken.
  2. Dip each chicken breast into the evaporated milk to lightly coat, then dredge in the seasoned flour mixture until evenly coated on both sides.
  3. Arrange the floured chicken in a single layer in a greased 13x9 inch baking dish. Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the chicken.
  4. Bake at 425°F for 30 minutes, until light golden brown.
  5. While the chicken bakes, whisk together the cream of chicken soup, remaining evaporated milk and the water in a small bowl.
  6. Carefully flip chicken breasts and pour the cream sauce evenly over the top.
  7. Bake for 30 more minutes, until the chicken is completely cooked through and the sauce is bubbling.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy this juicy oven-baked chicken!
